I don’t know about you, but I was just astounded by the crowds and the terrific vibe at the race on Saturday.

I hope that everyone had as great a time as I did.

I finished my 15K race in record time and I felt great when I was finished.  The food and entertainment afterward were so fantastic!  I have never been to a race where everyone stayed and enjoyed all that was on offer.  What a phenomenal race experience.

Over $1.7 million was raised for the Family Navigation Project.  The people who sponsored me donated just over $4K.  So great.  So many more families will be helped by the program because of the hard work everyone did leading up to Saturday and at the race itself.

You know, something inside me clicked as I ran through that finish line.

I was overcome with not only with joy from knowing I could stop running at that moment, but with this indescribable sense of deep connection with something that has real, and often life-saving, impact on young people and their families.

These are families whom I have met and with whom I’ve spent time. In fact, they are my family, too.  So many of us need help at some point.  Because of this program, it’s there.

I want to do more.  I want to go further.

So!

I’ve decided that next year, I will run the 25K race.

I don’t know how I will make my body do it, but I will.

I hope that you’ll do it with me, whether it’s 5K, 15K or 25K.  Whether it’s walking, run-walking, or running.

Just be there.  Let’s do it again together!
